General Discussion
DickHubbard, the practice of not including spaces in some cases in Auckland.Wiki is as a quick syntax for making Wiki Links, see: HelpOnLinking. WaihekeIsland is easier than typing ["Waiheke Island"] and automatically links to this page (it's called CamelCase) and is still generally readable. I think in your prefs you can opt for Add spaces to displayed wiki names which should do it automatically for you. -- BrentSimpson 2006-06-28 23:12:15
Shouldn't have to. This site needs to present itself to viewers looking as if it has at least a little professionalism. At the moment the lack of spacing makes it look like a primary school's first attempt at a school newspaper. So much so, I'm outta here.
DickHubbard, ok; I get it, it's just a wiki habit really from the early wikis where this was how you made links. I'll probably go your way as I agree that it's getting a but much and most people would see it as just bad grammar or a plethora of typos. -- BrentSimpson 2006-06-30 10:11:10
On second thoughts, no - WikiWords (see:WikiName) are cool, simple, and easy for people. I'm sticking with them. -- BrentSimpson 2006-06-30 20:31:57
